Welcome to the Western Washington Chapter of the American Society of Home Inspectors Established in 1976, the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) is the oldest and most respected professional association of home inspectors in North America. The Western Washington Chapter of ASHI (ASHI WW) continually strives to meet ASHI’s goals of building public awareness of home inspections and to enhance the technical and professional performance of home inspectors. Why Choose an ASHI Home Inspector ASHI WW Chapter members far exceed the minimum requirements dictated by Washington State licensing. In addition to the passage the National Home Inspector exam, Chapter members must perform 245 professional home inspections above the Washington State minimum of 5 and have their reports verified for compliance with the association’s standards before they are allowed to call themselves a “Certified ASHI Inspector.” ASHI also requires its members to complete 20 approved continuing education courses per year in order to maintain their membership, which are 6 more than the State requires. No other professional Home Inspector association can match the credentials of a Certified ASHI Home Inspector. So when choosing a Home Inspector, look beyond Washington State licensed Inspectors and demand an ASHI WW Home Inspector.
